Senior Project Engineer - Earthworks M/F

Overview The Waikare Gorge Realignment project includes moving 4km of road (realignment) and a new bridge across the Waikare Gorge on State Highway 2 (SH2) at Pūtōrino north of Napier. The 4km realignment and new gorge bridge will make the highway safer and more resilient, offer better access for freight and communities and help avoid future emergency and recovery works in the gorge. About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our earthworks team based at the site office in Waikare. Experience in major projects civil construction, including earthworks, is essential. Youll be liaising with project management staff, site, suppliers and subcontractors to plan and execute work, ensuring your section of works are completed cost-effectively and on time. This is a great opportunity for an existing Senior Project Engineer to step-up into a project leadership role and advance their career. Responsibilities Plan and execute civil earthworks projects in collaboration with project management, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure your section of works is completed on time and cost-effectively, to meet project objectives. Qualifications Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer or similar role of at least 7 years within civil engineering Strong capability across project planning, execution, and delivery Experience working collaboratively with contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders Solid understanding of H&S, quality, cost control, and programme management The ability to lead by influence and support developing engineers within project teams Bachelor of Engineering and CPEng registration #J-18808-Ljbffr
