Overview Mobile Vehicle Technician providing servicing, maintenance and repair, via prebooked appointments, at customers home address or place of work. This is a new and specialist division for the number one national breakdown company in the UK, with over 15 million members. Must have right to work in the UK status. Location and pay Location: Canterbury Pay / salary: £40,170 OTE: Up to £52,000 Job type: Permanent / Full time role Shift and schedule Shift and schedule for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role: Home based, working 40 hours per week, across 5 days (Monday to Saturday) 8am – 8PM, working 1 in 4 Saturdays. 1 day of overtime per month = £3,000 additional per year; 2 days of overtime per month = £5,000 additional per year, completely optional – more flexibility, more reward. Responsibilities Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at customer selected location e.g. driveway, office car park. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues. Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues. Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations. Payment handling through card transactions. Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques. Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used. Requirements Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent). Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role. The ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures. A customer-focused approach. Must have a full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans.
