Find out more at www.realsteel.co.nz About the Role As a Workshop Finisher, you'll play an important role in turning profile-cut steel into finished products ready for our customers. Working within our Post Processing team, you'll be involved in grinding, finishing, painting, quality checking, labelling, and packing steel components. This is a hands-on role where quality matters. You'll work with a range of workshop equipment and tools, helping ensure every product leaving the factory meets Real Steel's high standards for quality, accuracy, and presentation. This is an entry-level role. If you’ve worked in manufacturing, fabrication, logistics, engineering, or a trade environment, that's great. However more importantly, if you're practical, reliable, take pride in your work, and enjoy working with your hands, we'd also like to hear from you. What you'll be doing Grinding, cleaning, and finishing steel components to meet quality standards Preparing products for painting, assembly, dispatch, or further manufacturing Painting, labelling, and branding finished steel products Operating hand tools, grinders, and workshop equipment safely and effectively Inspecting finished products against drawings, specifications, and customer requirements Checking quantities, job details, and quality prior to packing and dispatch Assisting with the movement, loading, and unloading of materials Completing daily housekeeping and maintaining a clean, organised workspace Working closely with Operators, Team Leads, Maintenance, Planning, and Dispatch teams to keep production moving What you'll bring Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, workshop, trade assistant, or similar hands-on environment Confidence using hand tools, grinders, and workshop equipment A strong work ethic and reliable attitude Attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work Ability to read and follow job instructions, drawings, and work orders A safety-first mindset and commitment to doing things the right way Physical capability to handle steel products and work in a production environment Good communication skills and a team-first approach Willingness to learn new skills and help out across the production team Why join Real Steel?
