Job Description

Overview Build your estimating career in a specialist technical business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in estimating. You may already have estimating experience and be looking for greater ownership, or you could be an engineer, project engineer, project coordinator or technically minded professional wanting to move into a commercial role. Experience in HVAC, mechanical services or building services would be highly regarded, however we\'re ultimately looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, strong commercial awareness and a genuine curiosity to understand how things work. Full training will be provided on the specialist services offered by the business, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, asking questions and building strong client relationships. This isn\'t a role for someone who simply prices from drawings. You\'ll become the commercial link between clients and operations, developing trusted relationships while ensuring projects are accurately scoped and priced for success. WHAT YOU WILL DO Prepare accurate tenders, quotations and cost estimates for technically interesting building services projects Review drawings and specifications, proactively clarifying scope with clients and internal stakeholders before pricing Build trusted client relationships, follow up quotations and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities Work closely with operations to ensure successful project handovers and commercially successful outcomes Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes, pricing accuracy and overall business performance WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Experience in estimating, or a background in HVAC, mechanical services, engineering, building services or another technical industry Mechanical aptitude with strong commercial awareness and an interest in solving technical problems Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships and proactively ask questions High attention to detail with a thorough and methodical approach to pricing Strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes WHAT\'S IN IT FOR YOU Structured training, mentoring and genuine opportunities to develop your estimating career Interesting projects that combine engineering, problem solving and client engagement Genuine autonomy with the opportunity to influence commercial outcomes Join a stable, well-established specialist business with a supportive culture Build long-term relationships while making a visible impact on the business #J-18808-Ljbffr
