Overview INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN WANTED – KAITAIA, NEW ZEALAND We are seeking a skilled and qualified Industrial Electrician to join our team in Kaitaia, the gateway to New Zealand’s Far North. Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) is a leading forest and wood products company supplying local and international timber markets. We operate three wood processing facilities across the North Island and manage forestry estates in the Wairarapa and East Coast regions. As a subsidiary of our parent company, WoodOne in Japan, we maintain strong global connections. In Kaitaia, we operate two mills that specialise in processing Radiata Pine, producing reconstituted wood panels and peeled, dried veneer for a wide range of applications. What’s on offer Full-time, permanent position with overtime available Competitive pay based on experience Varied industrial electrical work Shift work 4 on 4 off, 12-hour day/night shifts Friendly and supportive team environment 5 days bereavement leave Generous superannuation scheme with free Life Insurance and Will package Discounted Southern Cross Health Insurance EAP Support Services Free annual flu vaccinations, medical and hearing tests Key responsibilities Calibrations of electrical systems and equipment Carrying out preventative maintenance on electrical equipment Provide front line support to Production and Mechanical departments Attend breakdowns Overhaul various electrical equipment, including motors and motor controls Diagnose electrical controls Troubleshooting for electrical systems Installations (COC & ESC) Interrogate PLC systems to diagnose problems Qualifications Full NZ Electrical Registration (EWRB) Experience in electrical maintenance of industrial plants is advantageous Experience with 3 phase motors, motor protection, motor controls, industrial sensors and a wide range of industrial electrical and control equipment is advantageous Advantageous Experience with Variable Speed Drives, PLC control, basic instrumentation, encoders, etc. Experience in CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Systems) Lifestyle Access to surf beaches at Ahipara and Shipwreck Bay World-class fishing from boat or shore Bush walks and native forest experiences (Aupouri Forest and Te Paki Coastal Track) Snorkeling and diving in clear waters Laid-back lifestyle with a focus on work-life balance Whether you’re looking to settle down, escape the rat race, or have more time for the things you love, Kaitaia offers an unmatched balance of career and lifestyle.
