About the Role We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Graduate Engineer to join our Civil Construction team. This entry-level role provides hands‑on experience supporting civil projects across planning, design, construction support and quality assurance. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and project teams to deliver safe, compliant and cost-effective outcomes for our clients. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of design drawings, calculations and technical reports for civil infrastructure projects, including roading, drainage and earthworks. Support site-based activities by attending project sites, carrying out inspections, monitoring work quality and preparing site records. Contribute to producing and reviewing construction specifications, tender documents and quantity take-offs. Undertake engineering calculations and modelling under supervision, ensuring outputs meet company standards and relevant codes. Collaborate with project teams, contractors and clients to resolve technical issues and support delivery programmes. Use company systems to prepare and maintain documentation, site logs and progress reports. Follow health, safety and environmental requirements on site and in the office, including wearing PPE, completing inductions and adhering to permit procedures. Participate in on-the-job learning, mentoring and training opportunities to develop technical and professional skills. Qualifications and Skills Final‑year student in Civil Engineering (Bachelor or Diploma) graduating in 2027. Understanding of civil engineering principles, design standards and NZ codes of practice. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation. Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Willingness to undertake site work and practical tasks, with a proactive, hands‑on approach. Full or restricted New Zealand driver’s licence. Comfortable using common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and mobile devices for reporting. What We Offer Location: Dunedin.
