Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) – Greymouth – Te Nikau Hospital West Coast – Greymouth – Te Nikau Hospital. Fixed term until 26/06/2027. Working full‑time hours – 40 hours per week. Make a difference every day in your community. About the Role Receive, register, and prepare samples for testing and distribution within the laboratory and to external laboratories. Perform phlebotomy and associated patient service duties. Undertake laboratory analysis and testing of samples. Monitor and recognise normal and abnormal results and escalating concerns appropriately. Identify and address machine or technical irregularities, notifying the Laboratory Manager or Technical Specialist as required. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with laboratory procedures, policies, and quality standards. Participate in quality assurance programmes and continuous improvement activities. Provide exceptional service to patients, clinicians, and other stakeholders. About You Essential: Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC), or be working towards MLT/ML‑PAT registration. Essential: NCEA Level 2 or equivalent qualification. Essential: Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Essential: Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
