Job Description
Role Description The Architecture Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Dunedin, working closely with the Mason & Wales team on a diverse range of architectural projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing architectural concepts, preparing design documentation and drawings, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and contributing to project planning and delivery. The role involves integrating functional, aesthetic, and sustainability requirements into coherent design solutions, while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The Architecture Specialist will participate in client meetings, present design options, respond to feedback, and support the continuous refinement of project outcomes. Collaboration, clear communication, and attention to detail are key aspects of this position. Qualifications Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with demonstrated experience in developing and delivering built projects. Knowledge of Solution Architecture and Integration, with the ability to align structural, building services, and interior elements into cohesive design solutions. Effective Communication skills, including the ability to convey design intent to clients, colleagues, consultants, and contractors in a clear and professional manner. Proficiency in relevant design and documentation tools (e.g., CAD/BIM software), and familiarity with New Zealand building codes and standards. Professional architectural qualification and registration (or eligibility for registration) with a recognized architectural body. Strong problem‑solving abilities, collaborative working style, and commitment to sustainable, high-quality design outcomes. Experience in master planning, commercial or residential projects, and prior work within multidisciplinary teams is advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
