About the Role We are searching for a dynamic Team Leader for the Lakes Integrated Community Health Service (LICHS) Administration Team who is ready to make a meaningful impact. In this role you will lead a high‑performing team and coordinate administration services across District Nursing, START, NASC and HiTH throughout the Rotorua and Taupō regions. You will ensure the delivery of a timely, high‑quality, and professional administrative service while managing day‑to‑day operations and providing hands‑on relief cover when needed. You will hold full line management responsibilities including recruitment, induction, coaching, performance management and driving service quality improvements, while delivering regular operational reporting and continuously optimising the service’s systems and processes. Your attention to detail will set the standard because accuracy is essential. You will also be a people‑focused leader who inspires, supports and elevates those around you. Responsibilities Lead a high‑performing team and coordinate administration services across District Nursing, START, NASC and HiTH throughout Rotorua and Taupō. Ensure timely, high‑quality and professional administrative service while managing day‑to‑day operations and providing hands‑on relief cover when required. Hold full line management responsibilities: recruitment, induction, coaching, performance management and driving service quality improvements. Provide regular operational reporting and continuously optimise systems and processes. Maintain accuracy, data quality, equity and confidentiality across booking, admissions, discharge, referral and scheduling processes. Qualifications Minimum 3 years experience leading, coaching and motivating administrative teams. Experience with patient management systems such as iPM for referrals and scheduling, with attention to accuracy, error control and reporting. Commitment to implementing TeTiriti o Waitangi principles and a strong understanding of health literacy and health equity. Experience in community health services (e.g., District Nursing, NASC, START, HiTH) is desirable. Valid New Zealand driver’s licence and NZ work rights. It brings together the expertise of District Nursing, START (Supported Transfer and Accelerated Rehabilitation Team), HiTH (Hospital in The Home) and NASC (Needs Assessment and Service Coordination) to provide seamless, patient‑centred care that addresses the unique health and social needs of our community.
