Help shape the future of NZTA's digital services. Manage the lifecycle of multiple digital supplier agreements. Permanent, full-time position. Based in Auckland or Wellington. Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity Join our Digital Commercial team and influence some of NZTA's most strategic technology suppliers and digital services, ensuring strong commercial outcomes, value for money, and effective supplier performance across a complex portfolio of agreements. As a Senior Contract Specialist, you will manage the lifecycle of multiple digital supplier agreements and support the management of critical strategic contracts across our Digital portfolio. You'll work closely with business owners, project teams, procurement and suppliers to ensure contracts deliver intended outcomes, risks are effectively managed, and commercial arrangements remain fit for purpose. This role offers a unique blend of: Strategic supplier relationship management Commercial negotiation and contract management Procurement and sourcing activities Risk and performance management Stakeholder engagement across Digital and business teams Governance reporting and commercial advisory support You will also help shape future sourcing strategies and contribute to the effective management of technology suppliers that support critical services across NZTA. View the position description. Appointment salary is between $111,051 and $135,729 commensurate with skills and experience. Ko koe tēnei | About you 5+ years' experience in contract and supplier management, procurement or commercial roles. Experience managing technology, software, telecommunications, infrastructure or managed service contracts. Public sector procurement and sourcing experience and knowledge of Government Procurement Rules and public sector commercial practices. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Proven communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and suppliers. Strong analytical, risk and issue management skills. A collaborative and pragmatic approach. The confidence to challenge constructively and drive outcomes. The ability to translate complex commercial matters into practical business advice. A solid understanding of technology services, software, managed services or digital delivery environments. Experience using SAP Ariba.
