Larnach Castle is New Zealand's Castle — a landmark heritage property on the Otago Peninsula, owned and lovingly restored by the Barker family since 1967. We operate 365 days a year across castle and garden tours, boutique accommodation (Camp Estate, Larnach Lodge and Castle Stables), dining experiences, a gift shop, and private functions. About the Role We are looking for an experienced hospitality professional to lead our Reservations department and play a key operational role across the business. This is a varied, hands‑on leadership position — you'll oversee all accommodation and tour reservations, manage a small team, and act as Duty Manager during your rostered shifts. You will work closely with the Castle Manager to drive occupancy, revenue and guest satisfaction, while being the kind of calm, solutions‑focused leader that guests and staff alike can rely on. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all reservations functions across Camp Estate, Larnach Lodge and Castle Stables Manage accommodation and tour bookings via PMS, SiteMinder and FareHarbour Act as Duty Manager — overseeing daily operations across all departments during your shifts Drive direct booking conversion and revenue through upselling and relationship management Manage travel agent and wholesaler relationships and ensure accurate invoicing Lead, coach and develop the reservations team Oversee billing accuracy, night audits and end‑of‑day reconciliation Handle guest escalations and ensure complaints are resolved with professionalism and discretion About You Based in New Zealand and hold valid work visa.
