National Registry Officer

National Registry Officer – Auckland – Multiple positions, Permanent, full-time. This role supports everyday New Zealanders in our Justice system through customer service and case management. It will initially be based at the Auckland District Court, scheduled to relocate to Ellerslie in March 2027. National Registry Officers play a critical role in supporting courts and tribunals to enable access to justice and deliver quality services. Centralised Services is part of National Service Delivery, providing services nationally that do not require face‑to‑face interaction. Key responsibilities Customer Service – interacting with customers on any court related matter. Case Management – ensuring the Judiciary and case parties have all the information needed for timely and efficient hearings. First line of contact for callers to the Ministry, handling inquiries such as court opening times, jury duty, and upcoming hearings. Applying legislation and policies to process customer applications and respond to correspondence. Exercise powers as a Deputy Registrar of the District Court. Collaborate with the National Registry and National Registry Services teams to deliver efficient service. Required skills and experience Passion for helping people.
