Court Security Manager - National Security Operations Gisborne District & High Court – Permanent, Full Time Opportunity As a Ministry of Justice Court Security Manager, you will lead a court security team of up to 12 officers based in Invercargill and Queenstown. You will serve the community by providing a safe and secure environment for people to access justice in New Zealand. The role involves interacting with diverse people, stakeholders, and business units every day. Operationally manage teams in a complex and demanding security environment. Understand operational risks and make sound decisions quickly, decisively, and confidently. Engage and build relationships with a diverse range of people. Collaborate with agencies including NZ Police, Department of Corrections, and Te Oranga Tamariki. Ensure safe and professional court operations. Attend a three‑week residential training course in Wellington within three months of your start date, if required. Skills and Experience Leadership capabilities. Customer-service oriented. Ability to de‑escalate conflict. Physically able to engage in full contact officer safety techniques.
