Job Description

Te Haeata/The Opportunity In this 6‑month fixed‑term role you will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Court. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders who are interacting with the Justice system. This includes being able to communicate confidently with judges within the courtroom and their chambers, as well as other members of the judiciary. Responsibilities Facilitate court sessions (Court Taking): introduce judges in English and Te Reo Māori, work closely with them in the courtroom and chambers, manage jurors and general court administration. Manage case logistics (Case Management): ensure judiciary and case parties have all the information they need and that cases are heard timely and efficiently. Deliver customer service: interact with customers on any court‑related matter via face‑to‑face, phone or email, maintaining confidence across all methods. Skills & Experience Attention to detail and keen observation. Self‑awareness and confidence working both individually and as part of a team. Multi‑tasking: manage conflicting priorities and shift quickly between tasks. Willingness to learn: adapt to changing legislation and court processes, maintaining knowledge capital. Resilience: handle sensitive cases and high‑volume periods with professionalism.
