Senior Data Analytics Consultant - Contract

Responsibilities Designing and delivering advanced Power BI solutions, going well beyond standard dashboard development Writing complex DAX calculations and logic to support sophisticated analytical requirements Building semantic models that structure data logically and make it accessible for business users Writing and optimising SQL queries against cloud data platforms, with a strong focus on Databricks Applying UX principles to create dashboards that are not only functional but visually compelling and intuitive to navigate Designing interactive reports that allow users to actively explore and interrogate data Translating data into clear narratives - making the numbers sing and communicating the story behind them Partnering with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs and translating requirements into impactful outputs Requirements Advanced Power BI expertise, with a portfolio of work that demonstrates capability beyond the basics Strong DAX skills, including complex calculations, time intelligence, and performance optimisation Solid SQL coding ability and experience working with relational and cloud-based data sources Hands‑on experience with Databricks or equivalent cloud data platforms Strong semantic modelling skills and an understanding of how to structure data for business consumption A genuine eye for design and UX - you think about the end user and it shows in your work Experience in a consulting or professional services environment, with the confidence to engage stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly #J-18808-Ljbffr
