Data Engineer

Responsibilities Ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancement of systems that support storage, processing, and retrieval of the Bank's data products. Support delivery of two brand new data collections, working alongside experienced senior engineers. Post‑delivery: implement changes, resolve defects, apply upgrades, and add new data to meet evolving business needs. Work closely with colleagues across the Operations Group to evolve the data engineering practice using appropriate frameworks and tools, consistently applying these to daily work. Qualifications Strong knowledge of data modelling, including normalised and dimensional models techniques. Skilled in SQL, Snowflake, dbt, and end‑to‑end ETL/ELT processes. Experience in Azure cloud environments. Experience supporting analytics and reporting platforms, including enabling curated datasets for tools such as PowerBI. Familiarity with Python. Strong knowledge of DevOps methodologies, Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including build and deployment across environments.
