Midpoint of $167,029, dependent on experience. Responsibilities Lead and develop a high‑performing Clinical Advisory team, providing strategic direction, people leadership, and ensuring the team has the capability and capacity to deliver on priorities. Shape and deliver the team's work programme, aligning clinical advice, policy input, and programme delivery with Ministry, Government, and health sector priorities. Champion clinical quality, patient safety, and evidence‑based practice, or integrating clinical advice into policy, and programme development. Drive high‑quality outcomes and effective delivery, leading complex programmes of work, managing risks, and ensuring advice and outputs are delivered to a consistently high standard. Build influential partnerships and foster an inclusive culture, collaborating across the Ministry, health sector, government, and stakeholders while embedding Ministry values and Te Tiriti o Waitangi responsibilities in all aspects of the team's work. Qualifications Advanced clinical, health, science, or research expertise and a strong understanding of New Zealand's health system. Leadership experience building and developing high‑performing multidisciplinary teams. Expertise in clinical governance, evidence‑based practice, and integrating clinical advice into policy and programme development. Outstanding communication, influencing, and relationship‑building skills across diverse stakeholders. Strategic thinking, resilience, and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi that enables you to lead through complexity and change.
