Department Of Conservation on Rakiura Stewart Island is offering a hands-on, full-time research technician position from 21 September 2026 to 15 January 2027. The role focuses on studying the Critically Endangered Pukunui/Southern New Zealand Dotterel during the breeding season. You will conduct field surveys, monitor nests, set up nest cameras, manage and analyse data, and lead field trips.
