We’re seeking a proactive Materials Coordinator (Commercial Hybrid) in our Composite Floor Decks Limited (CFDL) team to ensure seamless project delivery while gaining exposure to commercial management. As Materials Coordinator, your primary focus will be ensuring the timely and accurate coordination of materials for CFDL and customer projects across Auckland and beyond. You’ll requisition materials to tight schedules, arrange transportation and deliveries, maintain full product traceability with test certificates, manage inventory, and coordinate closely with Construction Managers, site teams, suppliers, transporters, and customers. This is a hands‑on role with real impact on project success. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to develop broader commercial skills under the guidance of the CFDL Commercial Manager. This includes supporting procurement, supplier relationships, contract processes, cost analysis, and stakeholder management when capacity allows, creating a genuine development pathway into wider commercial responsibilities while keeping materials coordination as the core priority. Key Responsibilities Ensure on‑time material delivery and sequential scheduling based on project priorities Manage product traceability and compliance with test certificates Control inventory, conduct cycle counts, isolate damaged stock, and optimise procedures Coordinate logistics, in‑plant transfers, site deliveries, tools, and PPE Negotiate with freight providers and verify suppliers/subcontractors Support procurement, contract processes, and financial reporting under guidance About You Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management Strong customer service, communication, and administrative skills Sound mathematical/analytical abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office Self‑motivated with excellent organisation and problem‑solving skills Current full NZ driver’s licence (essential) Building, engineering, quantity surveying, or contract negotiation experience is highly desirable Why Join Us?
