Job Description

New Zealand Police – Manager, Brand, Content and Delivery New Zealand Police is working with the community to keep New Zealanders safe and feel safe. We operate by land, sea and air, manage over 860,000 emergency calls a year and are always actively preventing crime and crashes. About the role As Manager – Brand, Content and Delivery, you will lead Police's external communications channels, ensuring our brand, content and digital presence effectively engage the public and support trust and confidence in New Zealand Police. Working closely with senior leaders and teams across the country, you will provide expert advice on brand governance, audience engagement, content strategy, channel performance and reputational risk. You will oversee Police's social media, website and app presence, along with marketing and advertising programmes that support organisational priorities and community outcomes. In this role, you will drive operational excellence, strengthen team capability and lead continuous improvement across content, publishing and channel operations. Key accountabilities Lead the delivery of Police's brand and digital channel strategy Strengthen public trust through effective content and engagement Provide expert communications advice to senior leaders Lead high‑performing teams and build organisational capability Drive innovation and operational excellence across communications channels What you'll bring Take a strategic approach to planning and prioritising, building trust and confidence in diverse communities Demonstrate strategic thinking and sound judgement in complex and ambiguous environments Influence and advise senior stakeholders to achieve organisational outcomes Lead through change and drive continuous improvement Understand our audience and tailor communication accordingly Special requirements A relevant tertiary qualification at Bachelors level (NZQF Level 7) in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Digital Communications or a related discipline; or equivalent relevant professional experience (Essential) Postgraduate qualification (NZQF Level 8) in the above-mentioned specialty or a related field (desirable) Demonstratable extensive experience in communications, media, marketing, digital engagement, content strategy or related disciplines Demonstrated success leading communications, marketing or digital functions and delivering large‑scale strategic initiatives Based in the Wellington area with some travel required Benefits Salary will commence between $153,652 and $170,724, dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
