WordPress Developer Location: Albany, Auckland (Office based) Reports to: Head of IT Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the website using WordPress and PHP. Build responsive, high-performance web pages from UI/UX designs. Customize WordPress themes & plugins; write clean PHP code. Optimize website performance, speed, SEO structure, and user experience. Troubleshoot bugs, refine workflows, and improve site functionality. Work closely with product, marketing, and design teams to deliver updates. Essential Requirements 3+ years of experience in WordPress or Front-End Development. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Strong PHP programming skills. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Hands‑on experience with WordPress themes, plugins, hooks, and filters. Understanding of SEO-friendly site structure. Professional English (written & verbal); Conversational Mandarin is a plus. Desirable Experience with Elementor, WPBakery, or building custom plugins. Experience in the financial industry. Knowledge of REST APIs & website integrations. Familiarity with hosting, DNS, and server environments.
