Job Description

Overview New Zealand Police operates nationwide to protect and serve the public. The Police Headquarters in Wellington hosts a media and communications team that supports the largest visible department in the country, ensuring trusted, timely and effective communication across all channels. Responsibilities Create high‑quality visual content across digital, print and multimedia channels. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop creative solutions that meet communication objectives. Manage multiple design projects, delivering work on agreed timeframes. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in graphic design or a related discipline. Demonstrable experience in graphic design, visual communication or equivalent capability. Proficiency with contemporary design software, tools and product methods. Strong communication, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Ability to contribute to, and help improve, design processes, resources and team practices. Special Requirements The position is based in Wellington at the national headquarters and may require occasional travel. Compensation The role is covered by a collective agreement and pays an annual salary between $88,179 and $101,804, depending on skills and experience.
