Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Matipo School is seeking a positive, energetic and collaborative kaiako to join our team from the beginning of Term 4, 2026, teaching a Year 2–3 class. We are looking for someone who: builds strong, caring relationships with tamariki and whānau creates an inclusive, engaging and well-structured learning environment has sound curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice has strengths in structured literacy and effective mathematics teaching, with experience using assessment information to identify and respond to learners’ next steps is confident supporting tamariki with a range of learning and behavioural needs through proactive, consistent and relationship-based approaches values collaboration, contributes positively to a team and is open to professional learning demonstrates a commitment to culturally responsive practice and the use of te reo Māori Matipo is a welcoming and diverse school with a supportive staff, wonderful tamariki and strong connections with our Te Atatū Peninsula community.
