About this Role We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food Service Manager (Fixed Term) to manage the Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Waitematā Food Services. The focus of the role is to ensure the delivery of consistently high quality, safe, and cost‑efficient services, while optimising financial returns for Waitematā Food Services, and ensuring optimum quality and choice for both staff and consumers. Working collaboratively with professional colleagues and the district‑contracted Food Service provider, you will work toward the strategic position of the District for future service initiatives. You will have access to a range of internal learning and development opportunities, and you can apply to the professional development fund for courses and conferences external to the district. You can also expect reimbursement of your registration fees, APC and professional membership fees. Responsibilities Deliver consistently high quality, safe and cost‑efficient food service operations. Optimise financial returns for Waitematā Food Services. Ensure optimum quality and choice for staff and consumers. Collaborate with professional colleagues and district contract Food Service provider. Contribute to the district’s strategic position for future service initiatives. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 3 years experience in a food services management role. In‑depth knowledge of the Food Safety Act. Previous experience in a Clinical Dietetics role is an advantage. Strong leadership and negotiation skills. About You You are a New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current practising certificate. You can navigate and connect within a large organisation. You can work with detail and also take a strategic view of the work. You are highly creative and invested in great learning experiences.
