Job Description Court Victim Advisor (Sexual Violence focus) – Invercargill, Permanent Part Time Te Haeata/The Opportunity This is a permanent, part‑time position of 28 hours per week based at the Invercargill District Court. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and adaptable person who has the necessary specialist knowledge, skills, and experience to make a major contribution to assisting victims of crime through the court process. You'll make an enormous difference to the victims through what you do. You will keep victims updated on the progress of their case and help them participate effectively in the criminal justice system. To be successful in this role, you will: Be a confident communicator with sound judgment Have strong abilities in creating and maintaining effective relationships Be a strong team player who can manage conflicting priorities and move from one task to another confidently and professionally, sometimes in challenging circumstances Have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in the sexual violence sector is desirable A full New Zealand Driver Licence is required. Utu ā-tau/Salary The remuneration band for this role is $74,634 to $95,591 pro rata – the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
