About the role Our Women’s Health Service is looking for Maternity Care Assistants who will work in a supportive role to the midwifery team. You will perform tasks related to the care of pregnant women, new mothers, babies and their whānau, assisting in clinics, hospital and community settings. You will help create an environment that welcomes and supports families while working solely under a midwife’s direction and supervision. Key Responsibilities Support midwives in delivering high‑quality maternity care Assist in clinic, hospital and community maternity services Create a welcoming and supportive environment for families Follow the midwife’s direction and supervision Essential Requirements Currently enrolled in a New Zealand Bachelor of Midwifery Programme Strong communication skills Ability to work well in a team Who Can Apply This role is open to students of the NZ Bachelor of Midwifery program.
