If you are in your second or third year of study at university studying civil engineering with a focus on water, we want you to apply for an internship with Stantec. Scope of Work The Wellington water team is involved in a wide variety of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater projects around the region, including pipe renewals and upgrades, the design and construction of infrastructure such as pump stations and culverts, and wastewater and drinking water network planning and design. A Typical Day On The Job May Include Site visits to review project progress, perform tests and complete site walkovers to ensure sites are operating safely. Using CAD software to develop designs and assist with drawings. Assisting project management at all project stages. Performing data analysis and design calculations. Attending workshops, training, and career development opportunities. Reviewing drawings and designs for construction projects. Assisting with work on drinking water and wastewater treatment plants. Writing risk assessments, reports, memos, and other project management documentation. Participating in social club and Developing Professionals Group activities. Preferably have a full clean current driving licence. Studying a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology. Able to commence work from 23rd November 2026 to 12th February 2027.
