Job Description

Senior Risk Advisor – The role As a Senior Risk Advisor, you will bring a strong risk lens to strategic initiatives, operational activities and major programmes across our Money Group. Working closely with leaders, project teams, and our Risk, Compliance and Audit Directorate, you will help strengthen risk management practices, support effective governance and ensure risks are understood and managed in a way that enables delivery and innovation. Responsibilities Lead risk reviews across the organisation. Develop reporting for senior stakeholders. Provide trusted advice on risk and controls. Foster a risk‑aware culture across the group. Support the development of fit‑for‑purpose organisational frameworks. Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum 7 years of second‑line risk experience (or equivalent). Strong technical expertise in risk management and risk‑management principles. Well‑developed analytical capability, able to distil key themes and perspectives for a range of audiences. Excellent communication skills, able to influence effectively and build credibility. Sound judgement and holistic thinking across a broad range of issues. Knowledge and application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Eligibility to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of NZ National Security Clearance as required. Experience in consulting or advisory roles is an advantage.
