Job Description
Overview We’re looking for someone who can produce engaging two‑minute tear‑jerkers, perfectly timed gags, and scroll‑stopping clips that capture attention, reflect Tracksuit’s distinct brand voice across every social channel, and help us build the biggest and most engaged marketing and brand audience in the world. What you'll do Edit video that feels made for the platform it lives on, not repurposed for it. Native to TikTok, native to LinkedIn, always unmistakably Tracksuit. Turn raw footage into content that stops the scroll, whether that’s a glitchy iPhone clip cut an afternoon or a proper shoot you’ve briefed an external partner to nail with a high‑craft vibe. Keep the cut‑downs coming every week, and bring your own ideas to the table, not just your timeline. You are on the creative team. Edit across a broad content mix: podcast clips, webinar countdowns, event vox pops, in‑house creator content, and brand film pieces. Edit short‑form video for organic and paid social (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) and adapt content for our owned channels (website, email, etc.). Collaborate with the wider marketing team to execute video content aligned with campaign goals and brand standards. Help form the idea, not just edit someone else’s. Juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball. You know when good enough beats perfect and shipped. Organise, archive, and maintain video and photo assets for efficient reuse and access. You own the edit end to end: structure, animation, music, pacing. If it looks and feels right, it’s your call. What we're looking for You have a strong understanding of editing technique, video production, and post‑production across all modern editing tools and platforms. You know your sh*t. You’re fluent in the lingo. You can explain what a long‑GOP is and the difference between a 3‑cam 1080p XF‑AVC‑S 10‑bit and two individual WAV files. You deeply understand platform fundamentals: retention, clip theory, session times, watch times, and what works on which platform (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn). You know how to hook an audience in the first few seconds. You have hands‑on thumbnail design ability, or strong art direction taste and the ability to brief and collaborate with design. You’re comfortable writing titles, descriptions, occasional voiceover scripts, and captions, whatever it takes to make the edit sing. You’re open‑minded about AI and modern editing tools that make the craft better, not tools for producing sloppy volume. You’re highly curious about internet culture, emerging trends, and evolving platform behaviours, balanced with strong editorial judgement and attention to detail. You follow trends, but you don’t jump on the bandwagon unless it’s right for the brand. You love the craft. You find your creative flow state deep in the edit suite, and you live for high velocity and speed of production. Speed is like your creative oxygen. You’re a storyteller at heart: you love the craft and you know how to tug heartstrings, land a tear‑jerking two‑minute short film, or slip in a well‑timed gag. You live, breathe, and think in frame rates, cadence, and storytelling arcs. Who you might be You have a deep passion for film and video, with a strong point of view on what makes good video in 2026 and beyond. You’re probably a massive movie buff and a deep consumer of online video. You’d be proud to show off your YouTube algorithm, and you’re the go‑to person at a party for “have you seen anything good lately?” You don’t need a B2B SaaS background; in fact it’s probably better if you don’t have one. Ideally you come from somewhere closer to culture (e.g., a media company doing journalistic or satirical video storytelling, building your own well‑edited YouTube channel, or supporting Insta-famous people with behind‑the‑scenes and day‑in‑the‑life video content). Team & reporting You’ll be a core, highly collaborative part of a tight‑knit creative team: in‑house creator, motion designer, creative director, writer/editor, and social media manager, all reporting into the Head of Brand. And this isn’t just a seat at the table, it’s a foundational one. You’ll be one of the earliest members of Tracksuit Studio, helping build the creative engine from scratch and take our brand somewhere no B2B company has dared go before.
