Technology Teacher

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher Technology Te Haikura A Kiwa school (previously James Cook High School) is a diverse and vibrant learning community committed to doing the very best for our students. Our current roll of over 1,900 students has grown considerably in 2026 and with a further predicted roll growth. We are looking for a full time, permanent teacher of technology specialised in metalwork. Our kura provides education for the multicultural diversity of Manurewa. Te Haikura A Kiwa school is a school with sustained improvements across a wide range of metrics, including improving learning, engagement and achievement. We are seeking an enthusiastic New Zealand registered teacher who can teach up to Level 3 Industry Base Courses and demonstrates empathy and understanding towards our students and their culture. The ability to create flexible and ongoing assessment practices for students. This is for an immediate start, date can be negotiated. Successful applicants will demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the New Zealand Curriculum and teaching pedagogies.
