We are proudly part of Japan Post. https://www.tollgroup.com About the Role At Toll Global Forwarding, we are looking for an organised and customer‑focused Ocean Freight Operations Coordinator – Transport to support the seamless movement of freight across New Zealand. Working closely with customers, shipping lines, customs brokers, transport providers and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring shipments are managed efficiently, documentation is accurate and service excellence is delivered at every stage of the supply chain. Responsibilities A day in the life of an Ocean Freight Operations Coordinator – Transport at Toll: Coordinate import and domestic ocean freight shipments from booking through to delivery. Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers and transport providers. Monitor shipment progress and provide timely updates to customers and stakeholders. Coordinate local transport and warehouse activities to support cargo movements. Support invoicing, cost entry and general operational administration. Qualifications Experience in freight forwarding, ocean freight operations or logistics administration. Relevant logistics or supply chain qualifications are advantageous. Understanding of import processes. Knowledge of customs and maritime regulations is desirable. Experience working with freight management systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Skills & Experience Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Customer‑focused approach with a commitment to service excellence. Familiarity with CargoWise One or similar logistics platforms.
