Maitre D – Accor Apartments & Realty – Lake Tekapo, South Island, New Zealand Full‑time, on‑site position located at Peppers Bluewater Resort with scenic views of Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook. The role includes overseeing front‑of‑house operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Oversee the team to ensure a warm welcome and assist guests from arrival to departure. Train and mentor Food & Beverage attendants to deliver seamless and memorable service. Aid guests in making dining reservations. Manage point‑of‑sale cashiering system: maintain cash flow accuracy and balanced till. Transform challenges into opportunities with positive problem‑solving. Craft and organise training plans for on‑ and off‑the‑job sessions. Monitor staffing, payroll, cost control and profit optimisation. Manage stock levels; collaborate with the restaurant manager to conduct stock‑takes and place timely orders. Maintain high level of personal grooming and professional appearance. Skills & Experience Proven record in customer service within the hospitality sector. Proficiency in food & beverage protocols: table service, beverage expertise, event service and coffee‑crafting (highly valued). Adaptability across diverse settings and flexible scheduling (early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays). Valid RSA or equivalent qualification.
