Opportunity We are a small team providing a 24/7 service on behalf of the Coroner’s Court. You will be the first point of contact answering inbound enquiries, accurately identifying caller needs and ensuring that the appropriate response and action is taken using your knowledge and experience. Occasionally you will process a range of administrative tasks associated with the management of matters notified to the Coroner, acting as a key link between the Coroner and other relevant parties using file management systems to maintain an effective service. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact to answer inbound enquiries. Identify caller needs and ensure appropriate response and action. Process administrative tasks related to the management of matters notified to the Coroner. Act as a key link between the Coroner and other parties, using file management systems. Manage critical and sensitive information, ensuring it is stored, retrieved and communicated appropriately with a broad audience. Collect and collate correspondence from various internal and external sources. Requirements & Qualifications Ability to question and listen to what people need, analyse information, and act quickly, decisively and make accurate decisions. Ability to handle stressful and emotionally difficult situations with a level head and a sensitive approach. Committed to the principles of teTiriti oWaitangi. Experience with a 24/7 rotating roster and availability for all rostered shift types (07:00‑15:30, 10:00‑18:30, 15:30‑00:00, 23:00‑07:30), including days, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays. NCEA Level2 or demonstrated equivalent work experience. Salary The remuneration band for this role is $60,729to$80,794, with pay within the band adjusted to attract strong candidates.
