Term 4 Classroom Release Teacher (0.8)

Part‑time, fixed term. FTTE up to 0.8. Start Date: 12/10/2026. End Date: 16/12/2026 (Roll growth). Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher. Subjects taught: English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts. Riverhills School is seeking a vibrant, experienced and collaborative part‑time teacher (0.8) to join our team in a classroom release role across Years 1–6. We are looking for a versatile educator who can bring energy, high‑quality instruction, and continuity to every classroom they enter, providing both classroom release time (CRT) and provisionally registered teacher (PRT) release across our school. FTE/hours: 0.8 FTE, 4 days a week; specific days are negotiable for the right candidate. Start date: Immediate start in Term 4; will run for the remainder of the 2026 school year. About you: The successful candidate will be a professional who effortlessly builds rapport with students, adapts well across different year levels, and works effectively alongside our teaching staff. Requirements: Registration: Applicants must hold full category 1 or category 2 registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand. Work eligibility: This position is open only to those who currently hold New Zealand Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid New Zealand Work Visa.
