Train Control is the “brain” of KiwiRail – controlling the movement of freight, scenic, and commuter trains across the country. There is significant growth in the Passenger Metro Rail Services in Auckland and Wellington, as well as increased demand for access to our rail network for key maintenance and infrastructure projects. We are a busy and dynamic operation with our team of Train Controllers working together to keep the wheels in motion and ensure all operations and activities on the rail corridor are undertaken with safety being the key priority.
