Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher English Matamata College is a Year 9-13 state secondary school in Matamata, Waikato. We have a proud history of student achievement since 1918. Our school is at the hub of our local community which is as rich in history as it is diverse. We are looking for an experienced, engaging and culturally responsive teacher, with a genuine passion for working with young people and the ability to contribute positively to the English learning area. The successful applicant must have teaching experience with the New Zealand secondary school curriculum, able to teach senior English to NCEA Level 3. Please state your other supporting subjects. The successful applicant will be collaborative, organised, relational, and capable of catering to a wide range of learning needs, and have strengths in supporting students to develop their literacy skills.
