Job Description

We are recruiting two Permanent Holiday Park Assistants to join the Orewa Beach Holiday Park team in Auckland. The roles are available in permanent part‑time (32 hours) and full‑time positions, with immediate start. Role Overview As a Holiday Park Assistant you will provide front‑of‑house customer service, reception and administrative duties and support the daily operations of the park. You will work on a roster covering seven days, including weekends, public holidays and school holidays. The busiest period is summer, so flexibility to work additional shifts and varying hours is essential. Responsibilities Front‑of‑house customer service, reception, and administrative duties Welcoming and familiarising guests with the park and surrounding area Answering enquiries and processing bookings via online, e‑mail, phone and in‑person Managing bookings in the PMS booking system, entering data, receipting, and processing payments and sales Assisting with general cleaning, housekeeping, amenities, light grounds/facilities maintenance, and other operational tasks Supporting other areas of park operations and assisting other Holiday Parks sites as required Qualifications & Experience Customer service and reception experience Advanced computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and PMS booking systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with strong problem‑solving abilities Flexibility to work rosters, including weekends and public holidays, and to work autonomously as a positive team member Enthusiastic and approachable demeanour, with a customer‑focused attitude and calmness under pressure Aptitude for learning new systems and processes quickly NZ Full Class 1 driver’s licence preferred; a restricted licence is acceptable if a full licence is not held Hospitality or tourism experience, and practical cleaning or maintenance background is advantageous but not essential Compensation & Benefits Salary paid at a living wage of $29.90 per hour, commensurate with skills and proven experience. The role is safety‑sensitive and will require pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing. Police vetting is required under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014.
