Dental House Officer

Dental House Officer – Fixed‑Term (2years). Fulltime position in Whangārei Hospital, commencing January2027. We are seeking motivated, skilled and committed full‑time Dental House Officers. The successful applicant will be part of a team that provides dental care for hospital inpatients and outpatients of all ages, including medically complex children, adolescents and adults. You will also provide treatment to children and adolescents that is beyond the scope of practice of dental therapists and treat low‑income adults through our community clinics. You will be involved in regular paediatric dental theatres. Patients are seen at Whangarei Base Hospital, regional hospitals, community clinics and mobile dental clinics throughout Northland. There will also be some opportunity to observe/assist maxillofacial patients via clinics and theatres in Auckland, and to observe regular ENT clinics and theatre to further your knowledge and training. The role offers a supportive team environment and opportunities to grow as a clinician and broaden experience.
