Our Auckland Valuation & Advisory Services team is growing, and we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Valuer to join our Commercial team. This role would suit a recent Property graduate, or a current Property student seeking part‑time work while completing their degree. The Opportunity | Te āhei: Work towards registration while gaining exposure to a wide range of commercial valuation assignments and specialised residential valuations including apartment development work. Support two registered valuers with key valuation activities, including inspecting properties and preparing valuation reports which includes compiling information, lease analysis and sourcing market evidence. Develop capability in data input, comparative analysis and valuation report writing across a variety of commercial property assignments. Build relationships with clients and agents to develop a practical understanding of the commercial property sector in Auckland. Learn alongside a motivated and growing team, with day‑to‑day mentoring and support from experienced valuation professionals. Develop the core valuation skills, market knowledge and client awareness needed to progress towards registered valuer status. About you | Mō koe: Studying towards, or recently completed, an NZIV‑approved Property degree, with an interest in building a career in valuation. Be confident, energetic and comfortable communicating. Demonstrate initiative in approaching tasks, take ownership and have the ability to problem solve. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to accurately capture notes, input data and contribute to analysis. A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to get involved in the foundational work that supports high‑quality valuation outcomes. Intermediate capability across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. What’s in it for you? He aha kei roto mō koe?
