Parcels Manager

Due to an internal promotion, we're looking for a Parcels Manager to lead the day‑to‑day performance of our Christchurch Parcels operation. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll keep freight moving safely and efficiently, support your team to deliver, and make sure operational standards are consistently met. Responsibilities Lead daily Parcels operational planning and execution Manage freight flow, labour deployment and operational priorities Drive performance across service, safety, productivity and quality measures Coaching, supporting and developing team members to build capability and accountability Reinforce strong communication routines and clear expectations across the team Ensure operational processes are followed, including scanning, labelling, endorsements and DG requirements Identify safety risks, hazards and compliance issues, ensuring corrective action is taken Partner with Transport, Customer Service, Claims and site leaders to support DIFOT outcomes Provide clear operational updates and contribute to site leadership routines Qualifications You are a hands‑on operational leader who understands the pace and complexity of a parcels environment and enjoys being close to the operation, leading from the floor and building a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
