Whakatāne | General Practitioner Fellow (FRNZCGP) About the Practice This respected Kaupapa Māori health provider delivers comprehensive primary care services across three rural practices, supporting a combined enrolled patient population of approximately 15,000 patients. The role will be primarily based at their Tarawera Centre while also providing clinical support and supervision across the wider service network. As a recognised teaching practice, the successful candidate will be approachable, collaborative and willing to support colleagues through supervision, mentoring and day‑to‑day clinical guidance. A commitment to working within a Kaupapa Māori framework is essential. About the Role Vocationally Registered General Practitioner Clinical supervision of overseas‑trained doctors Primarily based at Tarawera clinic with involvement across three practice sites Rural general practice with opportunities to utilise rural medicine skills PRIME Teaching and mentoring responsibilities within a learning‑focused environment Open to permanent or fixed‑term appointments Minimum 12‑month commitment preferred About the Location Located in the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty, Kawerau offers a strong sense of community and easy access to some of New Zealand's most spectacular outdoor recreation areas.
