Fleet Officer

Location: Petone, Lower Hutt. This is a full time position of 40 hours per week. The remuneration range for this role is $64,306 to $90,785 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience. We anticipate appointing around the midpoint of $75,654. Opportunity Tiaki Wai operates a diverse fleet of light commercial, passenger and heavy vehicles that support the delivery of critical water services across the Wellington region. From Ōwhiro Bay to the hills of the Remutaka Ranges, our fleet enables teams to reach treatment plants, pump stations, network assets and customers every day. Maintaining a safe, reliable and fit‑for‑purpose fleet is mission critical to keeping our people operational and our services running. Role Summary As the Fleet Officer, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of fleet operations, ensuring vehicles remain compliant, well‑maintained, cost‑effective and available when needed. You’ll work closely with operational teams, suppliers and service providers while supporting fleet procurement, leasing, insurance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. In This Role You Will Coordinate fleet servicing, maintenance, registrations, RUC, and WOF/COF requirements. Monitor fleet compliance, utilisation and operational performance. Administer fleet records, reporting, insurance and financial documentation. Support fleet procurement, leasing, replacement and disposal activities. Build effective relationships with suppliers and provide support to fleet users. About You To be successful you will bring: Experience in fleet management, logistics, transport coordination or a related field. Strong knowledge of transport compliance and health and safety requirements. Proven administration, reporting and record‑management capability. Strong stakeholder relationship management and problem‑solving skills.
