Mental Health Assistant - Acute Mental Health Salary: $28.30 – $35.69 per hour plus holiday loading. 0.9 FTE (72 hours per fortnight). About the Role We are looking for a positive and confident Mental Health Assistant to support our tight‑knit team in Acute Mental Health Ward 9B. Responsibilities Support nurses and other health care team members. Assist with patient movement. Provide patient care as required. Reconcile stock. Maintain ward facilities. Supervise patients and deliver one‑on‑one care when needed. Rostered shifts from Monday to Sunday. Qualifications Full driver’s licence. Working rights in New Zealand (no visa sponsorship offered). Confidence and physical ability to provide support and assistance to consumers. Ability to adapt to a changing environment. Computer literacy essential.
