Court Victim Advisor, Part Time

Court Victim Advisor (Sexual Violence focus) – Invercargill, Permanent Part‑Time Te Haeata/The Opportunity Position type: Permanent, part‑time (28 hours per week) based at the Invercargill District Court. We are looking for a proactive and adaptable person with specialist knowledge, skills and experience to assist victims of crime through the court process. The role requires you to keep victims updated on the progress of their case and help them participate effectively in the criminal justice system. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate resilience when working with people. Maintain a calm nature and the ability to relate to people of all walks of life. Enjoy the challenges of working with stakeholders and with victims affected by serious crime. Provide services to a number of courts within the cluster or region, including some travel where necessary.
