Security Officer – Invercargill – 16 hrs/wk Millennium Services Group is hiring a permanent, part‑time Security Guard for the Invercargill Central Mall. The role is 16 hours per week, typically Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 12am, with the possibility of additional shifts. Pay is $26.00 per hour. Key responsibilities include: Patrol the interior and exterior of the mall, maintaining visibility to customers and retailers. Operate equipment and uniform while following all training directives. Observe and report security incidents, maintaining accurate security reports and inbox logs. Use de‑escalation and communication skills to manage situations promptly and professionally. Act independently with integrity, accountability and initiative. Required qualifications: Certification of Approval (COA) – mandatory. At least one year of security guard experience. Pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal History Check. Valid New Zealand working rights. Ability to work unsupervised in a security‑conscious environment. Current First Aid Certificate – preferred.
