Job Description
This is an opportunity for a skilled animator to collaborate on a unique short animated film set in 1926, exploring themes of memory, gratitude, and loss. The project centers on the aftermath of war in Britain and the heartfelt gratitude of Polish children, depicted through archival pages, symbolic imagery, and watercolor landscapes. The script and initial drawings are complete, and the creative vision is well-defined. The animator will be responsible for bringing archival materials and characters to life, ensuring the film’s visual storytelling is evocative and historically resonant. This is a fully remote, personal project. Deliverables Animate archival pages and integrate them seamlessly into the narrative Create and animate watercolor-style landscapes reflecting the 1926 setting Develop expressive character animations that convey emotion and story Collaborate on visual storytelling to enhance the film’s themes Complete postproduction work, including compositing and final edits Deliver a polished short film ready for distribution Requirements Proven experience in 2D animation, preferably with watercolor or painterly styles Strong portfolio demonstrating narrative animation and character work Proficiency with animation software such as Toon Boom, TVPaint, or Adobe After Effects Ability to interpret and animate from archival materials and hand-drawn sketches Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely Strong attention to detail and commitment to historical accuracy Experience with postproduction processes, including compositing and editing Availability to work independently and meet project deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr
