About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi As a Recovery Partner – Mental Injury (Level 1), you will work directly with clients who require intensive support following complex mental injuries, including those arising from sexual harm and other highly sensitive trauma. You will coordinate recovery support across whānau, providers and agencies to help clients move forward. This role comes with both challenge and purpose. You will be exposed to distressing situations, difficult stories, and complex client needs. You’ll need to stay grounded, manage emotional pressure, and make sound decisions in situations that don’t always have easy answers. You’ll be working in a fast‑paced environment where there is always someone who needs your support. It’s not for everyone. But for the right person, it’s incredibly meaningful work — helping people through some of the hardest moments in their lives and contributing to keeping Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between. The indicative starting salary for this role is $77,502 – $86,113, depending on experience.
