Consultant in Anaesthetics (KCH) | East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust Company: East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust Location: Kent & Canterbury Hospital, East Kent Salary: £113,565 - £150,569 Per Annum (pro rata where applicable) The Anaesthetic & Intensive Care Unit at Kent & Canterbury Hospital is recruiting a Consultant Anaesthetist and Intensivist to join a team of dedicated clinicians. The role involves delivering anaesthesia sessions, providing on‑call commitments, and covering ITU. The job plan is flexible and includes coverage for paediatrics, vascular, endovascular, orthopaedic, and urology lists, and may be tailored to the successful candidate’s skills, knowledge and experience. The unit performs all vascular surgery for East Kent, urological (major cancer and robotic surgery), elective orthopaedic surgery, and a range of day‑surgical specialties such as dental and maxillofacial surgery, ENT, general surgery (including paediatrics), ophthalmology, interventional radiology, MRI and endoscopy. Emergency theatre cover is provided daily. Regional anaesthesia and sustainable anaesthetic principles are integral to the service. The unit also provides critical care services in a six‑bedded Critical Care Unit and a four‑bedded HDU, supported by dedicated Intensive Care Clinicians and Anaesthetists. The department and ICU are active in education, audit and research, offering opportunities for professional development. The successful candidate is expected to support appraisal, revalidation and completion of mandatory training. #J-18808-Ljbffr
