Opportunity We’re looking for interns to join our Audit team in Pōneke/Wellington commencing in November 2026, with the option to stay on post Summer in a casual capacity. Our Audit team builds trust in how organisations report their performance. You’ll help deliver audits that give stakeholders clarity and confidence, combining technical expertise, open communication and leading technology. It is work that goes beyond compliance, helping organisations make better decisions and grow with confidence. PwC’s Audit team works with some of New Zealand’s highest-profile, most interesting and pioneering organisations. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of industries and learn directly from Partners, Directors and Managers while building valuable technical, commercial, digital and interpersonal skills. No two days are the same. You’ll work with clients and colleagues to understand complex financial information, solve problems and contribute to high-quality audit outcomes. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, think independently, take ownership of your work and step into more responsibility as you grow. Responsibilities You will support the audit process by collaborating with team members to gather and analyse financial data, prepare audit documentation, and participate in fieldwork activities. Your role involves communicating findings with clients, supporting the development of audit reports, and ensuring compliance with professional standards. Qualifications A degree in Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, Data Analytics, Management Studies, Mathematics, Science or another relevant discipline. Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving skills. An interest in understanding organisations, financial information and how businesses operate. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with clients and colleagues. A curious, proactive attitude and willingness to learn. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships. Comfort working with technology, data and emerging AI‑enabled ways of working. An interest in working towards a professional qualification such as CA ANZ, CPA or CFA.
