Role Description The Electrical Foreperson role is a full-time, on-site position based in Christchurch. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating electrical teams on commercial projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Day-to-day tasks include planning and allocating work, supervising installation, and checking that all work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and company procedures. The Electrical Foreperson will liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to manage project timelines, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication on site. The role also involves mentoring team members, monitoring quality and safety performance, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous improvement across projects. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task allocation, and performance oversight. Experience working with heavy equipment and tools used in electrical installation and construction. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Practical skills in maintenance and general trade tasks; carpentry experience is advantageous for integrated project work. Recognised electrical trade qualification and current relevant registration and practicing license. Solid knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices on construction sites. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and technical documentation. Experience in supervising electrical projects in commercial or industrial environments is highly beneficial. Commitment to health and safety, including hazard identification, risk management, and safe work procedures.
